Olive green Zembag for 2 kg of Onions

The Zembag for Onion with its unique three-layer construction can hold up to 2 kg of onions. The outer layer is made of a combination of cotton fabric and jute, the bottom is made of impermeable firm fabric. The middle layer is made of dark non-woven fabric that is breathable, removable and does not transmit light. The inner layer contains an aluminium foil that maintains sufficient moisture and a protective atmosphere inside. The Zembag is closed by pulling the drawstring.

Zembag slows down the sprouting of onions thanks to specially treated oregano essential oil. This is contained in the Zembag Filling for Onion and is placed in the bag among the onions. It will last up to 5 months under normal conditions. One Zembag Filling for Onion is enough for 2 kg of onions. If you notice any signs of deterioration or sprouting, you need to add a new Zembag Filling for Onion.

The size of Zembag for 2 kg of onions is 17 cm (diameter), 23 cm (height) and the volume is 4,6 litres.

  How is it used?

  	Inspect the onions you are putting into the Zembag carefully one by one and discard any damaged, sprouting, dried out, or rotten pieces; healthy onions could become infected from them. Remove the sachet from the outer packaging labelled Zembag Filling for Onion, place it among the onions, to ensure even evaporation of the essential oil. Close Zembag by pulling the drawstring. One sachet of Filling for Onion protects 2 kg of onions.
  	Check the onions in the Zembag at least once a week to make sure they are not deteriorating. Onions can be removed or added as needed during storage.
  	If you see signs of sprouting, add a new Filling for Onions. The inner and outer parts of the Zembag can be gently washed at a low temperature (30 °C), ideally by hand.

Spring onion does not belong into Zembag! Only healthy and well dried onions without green sprouts are suitable for storage in a Zembag.
