The Zembag for bread is designed for storing sourdough or regular rye-wheat bread. It has an inner functional layer consisting of a nanomembrane developed by the Technical University of Liberec. When used daily, this membrane regulates the humidity inside the Zembag, extending the shelf life of the stored bread. This is also aided by the outer layer, which is made of cotton.
The width of the Zembag for bread is 33 cm, and the depth of the pouch is 45 cm. The length of the overlap of the pouch is 25 cm.
How to use Zembag for bread properly:
- Store the bread (sourdough or regular rye-wheat bread) in Zembag for bread in one piece, unsliced.
- Place it in the bag with the cut side down so that it stays moist longer.
- Close the Zembag for bread tightly or fold it over to ensure maximum closure.
- At the beginning, observe how the bread reacts – every household has different conditions (temperature, humidity).
The following items should not be placed into Zembag for bread:
- hot or freshly baked bread
- damp, frozen or mouldy bread
- hard or crusty bread
- toast bread or other baked goods (rolls, pastry etc)
Extra tips
- From time to time, turn the Zembag for bread inside out to allow it to air.
- Zembag for bread can be gently washed at 30°C without fabric softener and at up to 800 rpm.
- We recommend washing the bread bag before first use.
Remember: Zembag for bread will extend the shelf life of bread, but it will not stop the aging process.
